Event offerings in Wilmore, KY
OUR WILMORE GALLERY
We showcase original works by artists within the Creo Arts community and host events and workshops throughout the year that welcome the broader Wilmore community into our space. Our gallery exists as a place of encounter—bringing together artists and patrons alike to support, celebrate, and engage with art shaped by faith.
Third Thursday Artist Talk: Show & Tell
Join us for a night of Show & Tell, where everyone is invited to bring one or two pieces they’ve been working on—whether visual art, music, or performance—and share a glimpse of their creative journey with our community.
If you’re an artist interested in participating, click “View Event” to sign up for a presentation spot.
Third Thursday Exhibition: Death & Resurrection
Timed with Lent, Holy Week, and Easter, this exhibition explores death as a passage rather than an end, and resurrection as both cosmic and personal. Artists may respond to themes of surrender, burial, grief, waiting, renewal, and new life. Work can range from subtle transformation motifs or scenes of Spring to explicit crucifixion and resurrection imagery.
If you’re an artist interested in participating, click “View Event” to learn how to submit your work.
Third Thursday Artist Talk: Brother Murray Bodo
Join us for an inspiring Artist Talk with renowned Franciscan priest, poet, and author Brother Murray Bodo, O.F.M., as he discusses his latest poetry collection, Brother Wind and Air: A Lifetime in Verse.
Third Thursday Exhibition: Light in the Dark
A winter exhibition exploring Christ as Light—appearing quietly, persistently, and sometimes unexpectedly. Artists are invited to consider illumination, hope, revelation, endurance, and God’s presence in shadowed places. Works may reflect the inner light of faith, moments of divine interruption, or overt depictions of Christ as Light of the World.
If you’re an artist interested in participating, click “View Event” to learn how to submit your work.
Winfield Bevins Book Signing
Join us for an evening conversation with Winfield as he shares about the heart behind his new book, How Beauty Will Save the World, followed by book signings and a reception in the Creo Arts Gallery. We’ll have copies of the book on sale for half the retail price, and the first five people in the door will get a free copy!
This event will start at Sanctuary and end at the gallery.
Third Thursday Artist Talk: Dr. Mandy Smith
We’re excited to welcome Dr. Mandy Smith, artist and pastor, for our first Third Thursday gathering of 2026. In this thoughtful and generative conversation, Mandy will explore how artistic practices—like patience, attentiveness, and hopeful experimentation—can renew Christian leadership, especially in seasons of discouragement or decline. Together, we’ll consider how creativity helps us join God’s redemptive work of re-making the Church and the world.
